About the Nursery ...
Stafford Lake Nursery is a family-run concern with experienced, enthusiastic staff who are proud of the plants they produce.
The specialist lines at the nursery are dwarf conifers, ornamental trees and Hostas. The range of conifers is comprehensive with both popular and collectors' varieties offered, most in 3 litre and 10 litre sizes. Once garden Centres are used to our quality and service they rarely find satisfaction elsewhere. Trees are mostly 10 litre size and where the variety allows have good clear stems and well shaped heads. We offer a range of competitively priced larger potted trees for the landscaper and larger Garden Centre. We have an expanding range of Hostas, many grown on site, and can offer most varieties you can think of. Basic size is 1.5 litre with larger specimens usually available.
In addition to these core items we are also expanding our complimentary range of shrubs, climbers, perennials and ferns, by popular demand from our regular customers. We stock quality English open ground hedging in the winter months.
All deliveries are mode on our own vehicles, on Danish trollies when requires. We are proud of our smart descriptive labels, designed to help increase sales, these can be priced and barcoded at no extra cost. We also provide free colour lables where appropriate. All plants, except fruit, are potted in compost containing Suscon Green and slow release fertiliser, as well as treated with a safe pre-emergent herbicide, so the plants stay fresh on the garden centre bench and get a good start when planted out.
We encourage visits to our interesting site, both for the buyer to inspect the stock and for landscaper to make use of our select and collect facilities. We welcome enquiries for any plant orders and are happy to locate and assemble plants we do not ourselves stock.
