About the Nursery ...
Our nursery is wholesale only and not open to the public. We are a founder member of the Association of British Conifer Growers and produce a wide range of all the popular varieties of dwarf conifers for the garden centre market.
Conifers are the backbone of many gardens and our aim is to produce a good range of colour, size and shape, selecting for a visually distinct range of varieties. These include all the popular Chamaecyparis, Juniperus and Thuya, supplied in a range of pot sizes, from 3-litres to 25 litres. Additionally, we have a range of choice conifers including many grafted varieties, which we are constantly expanding in order to keep up with demand.
We also grow a range of conifer hedging including Leylandii, Castlewellan, Thuya atrovirens and Yews in various sizes. Leylandii, much maligned due to the irresponsible behaviour of a few, is still the best hedging conifer and is easily controlled by an annual cut. Not only does it provide a rapid screen but also excellent winter protection and breeding sites for a host of mammals and birds. Its ability to absorb sound and air pollution is of great benefit to the environment.
In line with our policy of making life as easy as possible for the retailer, we offer a rapid delivery service using danish trolleys, plus a fully integrated pre-pricing, bar-coding and labelling service.
In recent years we have become well known for our range of summer plants, principally Lavenders, and a range of popular herbaceous plants.
